How to: Time Blocking for Transaction Coordinators

If you watched my how I structure my day video, you'll notice I mentioned time blocking quite a bit. Time blocking is essentially just setting aside a certain portion of time to get a specific task or type of task done. The reason this works is because when you're not moving between all different kinds of tasks, your brain is able to stay focused and not have any delay in getting refocused on a task and coming back to it, switching tasks, etc. Ideally, this provides you to get tasks done faster and more efficiently and be more focused on the task at hand. One of my favorite things about time blocking is that you can do it SO many different ways, and pick whichever way makes most sense in your brain! In this video, I want to dive deeper into time blocking specifically for TCs.

There are a few main categories you can use. In this video, we’ll briefly go over how to use each one and which are my favorites.

  • By property/address

  • By agent

  • By task

  • By state/market area

It is important to find what makes sense to you but also what is compatible with whatever system you are using, or perhaps, if you are getting started and looking at different systems, find one that supports how you want to time block! Let me know which way is your favorite!
