Pros of being a Transaction Coordinator

In this video, I am highlighting the top perks of being a transaction coordinator. These may be the exact things that intrigued you about this career. Work from home? Check. Unlimited income potential? Check. Now, let’s dive into each of my top perks a little deeper. Don’t worry - we’ll go over the cons too - but we’ll save that for a rainy day. As a quick disclaimer, most of these perks are going to apply to independent TCs. There are also some salaried TC positions where you may go into an office.

Overall, the perks fall into two overarching themes: FREEDOM AND FLEXIBILITY.

  1. Freedom about WHERE you work

    1. If you are working as an independent TC, you will most likely offer your services remotely. This means as long as you have your trusty computer and wifi, it doesn’t matter if you are sitting in your pajamas at home or on the top of a mountain. No more commuting to an office every day. In the past few years, more and more people have seen the appeal of working from home and how much time and flexibility it can give you. I feel so lucky that I don’t have to worry about going into an office every day! (Well, except my home office that is).

  2. Flexibility about WHEN you work

    1. Freedom to design your own hours and what works for YOUR schedule. This is huge. While MOST coordinators work pretty “regular” business hours (I personally work Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm), it is completely up to you. As long as you communicate with your clients when you are and aren’t going to be available, you can pretty much set whatever hours work best for your personal situation and when you are most productive.

    2. Ability to work in real estate without the nights and weekends. If you are already in the real estate world or a current real estate agent, you know how amazing this is. You can use your real estate skills and knowledge and get to uncap the unlimited income potential of real estate while actually having time off! Never have to bail on weekend plans again.

  3. Flexibility about HOW MUCH you work

    1. Want to tap into the unlimited income potential of real estate? Go for it! Want to make a little bit of income for your family while still having free time? You do you! As an independent TC, you can decide how many clients you want to take on and how many deals you want to do. The more you take on, most likely the more income you will make. However, that isn’t everyone’s goal. If a few transactions a month would make a difference in your life, you don’t have to take on more work than you want to!

  4. Freedom to run your own business exactly how YOU want

    1. Do you have a bunch of ideas on how you want to do things? Do you want to be the one making all of the decisions? Entrepreneurship as a whole while challenging, is also extremely rewarding. Running your own TC business is a great pathway into entrepreneurship.

What is your favorite part of being a TC? Or what are you most looking forward to if you are just beginning your journey? How will this freedom and flexibility improve your life?
